About Us

NatureFolk programmes are flexible and welcoming, designed to enhance both physical and psychological wellbeing while reducing social isolation. Through meaningful nature based experiences, we help individuals develop practical skills and lasting knowledge they can genuinely take forward, fostering healthier, more connected communities across Norfolk.

“We want every NatureFolk session to offer each person their own meaningful takeaway; a new skill, a valuable connection, or a renewed sense of confidence.”

The Impact - NatureFolk Project is a not‑for‑profit Company (CLG) with a mission to help people engage with nature to improve their mental and physical wellbeing. We work in partnership with local organisations and charities, using the green spaces around their facilities to deliver projects and workshops that support people to be active, connect with others and learn new skills.

Our key objectives are:

  1. To develop people’s physical health and mental wellbeing through connecting with nature

  2. To enable people to gain confidence and access the outdoors through new skills and community connections.

The Community - NatureFolk Project will work across Norfolk with social and environmental aims, reinvesting any surpluses back into the communities in which we work. Building on our previous experience and successes delivering wellbeing programmes in local communities, we aim to take on more projects to reach people who are feeling disconnected or overwhelmed by life, who want more meaningful time outdoors, who are seeking community rather than just activities, and who care about nature and their place within it.

When we reconnect with nature, something shifts. We want people to leave our sessions feeling:

  • Calmer and more grounded

  • More present and aware

  • Connected – to themselves, others and the natural world

This isn’t about escaping life – it’s about returning to what matters.
